Given today’s Social Security turmoil, the timing seems right on this mediocre forgery. It’s mediocre at best because, c’mon – if you’re going to forge an email from the United States Social Security Administration, you should at least forge a fake .gov reply address instead of .jp, for Japan. Click on the “Download Your Statement” link and it points to somewhere in Brazil. Which gives this email kind of an international flavor. I’ll give this one a C-. Or is that too generous? Whaddya think?
This one will fool some people, but not anyone who sees this blog post. So, share this liberally with everyone you know
